The Far Right on Breivik: Abraham Shmuelevitz

Today I’ll write about Abraham Shmuelevitz, born as Nikita Demin. His father was Russian, his mother a Jew, and he’s a rabbi, political scientist, and an expert on Islam. As an ultra-Zionist he believes that all Jews should return to Israel, which is probably why he moved from Russia to Hebron, Israel.

April 27th, 2012, Shmuelevitz wrote an interesting article titled ‘Anders Behring Breivik and Scandinavian Mythology‘.

In his article Shmuelevitz argues that Europe’s ancient pagan believes emphasize that leaders should lead by example, citing Odin as the embodiment of self-sacrifice, courage, perseverance, wisdom, and an utter contempt for death. Shmuelevitz argues that Breivik might succeed where other modern nationalist leaders failed because he decided to lead by example, was willing to die for his believes, and that the European population will reject revolutionary leaders who fail to meet these criteria.

In addition Shmuelevitz views Breivik’s 1500 page compendium as a form of detailed, elongated self-praise that is fully in line with European tradition, where victorious warfare is glorified in excruciating detail.

If Shmuelevitz is correct this would explain why Christianity became the dominant religion in Europe, as its leader, Jesus Christ, shared many of the characteristics of pagan Gods. Jesus’ pacifism was a notable difference,  but this didn’t prevent Christianity from being spread by the sword whenever the word didn’t suffice, and it wasn’t until many centuries later that the population at large began to read the Bible.

In Breivik’s compendium, 2083, there is an attempt to highlight the most militant elements of the Bible, but it’s not very convincing, the Koran is a far more potent mix of Judaic monotheism and militantism. It’s possible that Christianity has eroded European paganism to such a degree that the majority of Europeans will turn the other cheek, even if doing so means death.

The right lesson to draw from Christianity might be that one should always resist corruption and speak the truth, even if doing so comes with severe repercussions. If the repercussions come and the system punishes you, that’s when you turn the other cheek, instead of groveling like a coward.

Jesus said that those who draw the sword will die by the sword. This is not a condemnation of violence, it means a Christian should not use violence unless he is willing to die for what he believes in. In this regard Anders Behring Breivik is a true Christian.

Do you think there is any point to continuing to write to Breivik at this time?

The latest news is that all mail from supporters has been blocked, but this comes from the mainstream media and they cannot be trusted. There is also news that says that only two letters have been blocked, with one of those having been given after he complained.

I'd go with information based on inside information and assume that all mail (except 1 letter) will be given to Breivik. He may not be allowed to respond however, for months if not years.
